The partners of Camic Johnson, Ltd. bring extensive experience to the firm: Mr. Johnson was the elected State's Attorney of Kane County; Mr. Camic was a police officer for several years; and Mr. Bloom has been a faculty member at The John Marshall Law School, teaching trial practice to lawyers.
The other members of the firm also bring extensive experience to the practice. Mr. Puscas has been a police officer and an Assistant States Attorney prior to concentrating in civil litigation for a number of years. Ms. Parga practiced public interest law and was Assistant Public Defender following her graduation from one of the top ten law schools in the United States.
The firm's criminal defense lawyers have lectured on criminal law at seminars and programs for various bar associations, community groups, and agencies. Members have published articles and comments in several legal publications. The firm maintains an extensive electronic library and maintains close contact with experts in medicine, forensics, and the sciences.

Mr. Camic represents clients in criminal trials, including felonies and misdemeanors in Illinois state and federal courts. Mr. Camic's practice includes both bench and jury trials, in fact, he holds the record for one of the shortest jury acquittals in Illinois in seven minutes. Mr. Camic is a frequent speaker at seminars for professional associations, including the DuPage County Bar Association, the Kane County Bar Association, the Kane County Public Defender, the Peoples Law School, and local schools and organizations.
Mr. Camic teaches Criminal Law at Aurora University. Mr. Camic has previously taught Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure at Elgin Community College, and taught police officers the laws of arrest and D.U.I. for the Illinois Northeast Multi-Regional Police Training. Mr. Camic has also taught Public Defenders Illinois D.U.I. law. In addition, Mr. Camic assisted in the editing of the law portion of this book.
Mr. Camic presently is the Treasurer of the Illinois Attorneys for Criminal Justice, and is secretary of the Criminal Justice Section Counsel of the Illinois State Bar Association. Mr. Camic chaired the Kane County Bar Association Criminal Practice committee from 1991 through 1996, and is still a member of that committee.
Mr. Camic is the author of "Rights of Pre-Trial Detainees in Illinois,", Illinois Police Association Official Journal, 1987; and researched information for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education's Handbook on Federal Civil Practice, Chapter 5S in 1987; Mr. Camic has written on sentencing for the Kane Bar Journal, and has contributed case notes for the Illinois Bar Association's Criminal Justice Newsletter.
